Come join us the weekend of August 9-10 for the Diamond Island Regatta on Saturday and the Split Rock Race on Sunday. Both races are part of the Lake Champlain Championship Series and draw boats from all over the lake for a fun weekend of competition and camaraderie.
Once again, the Diamond Island Regatta festivities will benefit the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum. This year’s theme, “Sailing over History,” refers to the historical shipwrecks of Lake Champlain. Events start on Saturday morning with breakfast at 8, followed by the skippers’ meeting at 9 and the Diamond Island Regatta. After the race, please join us for a celebration with live music, photos from the race, a presentation from Maritime Museum Director Chris Sabick on some of the shipwrecks we race over, and of course, the race results and awards. We cap off the evening with our Lobster Fest dinner and the drawing of raffle prizes. [ Note that orders are now closed for the Lobster Fest. ]
Raffle prizes this year include Helly Hansen jackets, a West Marine offshore inflatable life jacket, a VHF radio, transient dockage at marinas, an ROV shipwreck tour, restaurant dinners, and more. There will also be silent auctions for half-off winter storage at Point Bay, Safe Harbor Shelburne Shipyard and the Moorings Malletts Bay!
Event T-shirt orders are now closed! Thanks to all who ordered this year’s shirts; all profits go to benefit the Maritime Museum. You can pick your shirts up on race day. There will be a very limited number of shirts available for purchase the day of the event.

The Split Rock Race will follow on Sunday morning providing everyone with a chance to rack up some more series points before sailing home. The starting sequence on Sunday begins at 10:30.
