An annual end-of-the-boating season event: DIYC members gather to take down the DIYC tent and tidy up the spaces used for events at Point Bay Marina.
This year’s Change of Watch event will be a lunch at the Red Mill at Basin Harbor Club in Ferrisburgh. We’ll be in a private room (facing the airport runway) and we’ll order off their menu. So please plan to arrive at noon; orders will be taken at 12:15 and 12:30. This will be a “pay for your own lunch” event, and you’ll find their menu very affordable.
We’ll have a short annual meeting that will include a season review followed by presentation of the Donnelly Cup (recap) and the club’s highest honor, the Commodore’s Cup. Following the awards, we will present and vote on the 2027 slate of directors and officers, and our current commodore, Jim Moody, will present the commodore club, flag and badge to our 2027 commodore. We’ll wrap up by 2 p.m.
