DIYC members enjoying boating and we enjoy socializing with other boaters—club members and non-club members alike. In addition to informal and impromptu gatherings on and off the water, DIYC hosts a variety of activities throughout the year to facilitate fun and safe boating and to celebrate all the wonderful people who make our club and boating on Lake Champlain so great.

Our annual Cruise Week is the on-water event that attracts the largest and most diverse participation of members each year. Cruise Week typically starts around the Fourth of July and encourages club members to explore Lake Champlain beyond our home waters around Thompson’s Point. The week is full of great social gatherings, fun games, and wonderful cruising—all while visiting beautiful anchorages around the lake. See our Cruise Week pages for additional details.

Other on-water activities include our Fast Sail Program, Destination Cruises, Raft-ups and the club’s headline sailing event, the Diamond Island Regatta.

DIYC’s off-water activities provide our members and guests additional social events at which we can gather and also support the club’s on-water activities. The unifying themes across all of our off-water activities are good food and good company!

And finally, most springs, the club also sponsors a dock-side activity for club and non-club members to promote safe boating. This event, free Vessel Safety Checks by the USCG Auxiliary, is always in high demand.

The date, time and location of all DIYC events can be found on the club calendar.
